We're Liam, Leila & Tallulah
A family from the UK who decided that life is too short to stay in one place. When our daughter Tallulah was born, everyone told us travelling would be impossible. We decided to prove them wrong.
We travel slowly - staying in one place for 4-8 weeks at a time. Long enough to actually live somewhere, find the best local playground, learn where the good coffee is, and give Tallulah a routine that works.
Why we built this
When we started looking for long-stay accommodation with a baby, we quickly realised that Airbnb and Booking.com are useless for families. They tell you about the thread count and the aesthetic, but nothing about whether the balcony has a railing, whether there's a washing machine (non-negotiable with a 1-year-old), or whether you can actually get a buggy through the front door.
We started keeping notes for ourselves. Then friends with kids asked for recommendations. Then we thought: why not build the resource we wished existed?
Lost Little Moons is the platform we needed. Every property is reviewed with the things that matter to parents of young children. Real ratings, honest reviews, no sponsored nonsense. If a place has dangerous stairs, we'll tell you. If the playground is amazing, we'll tell you that too.
How we rate properties
Baby Safety (out of 10)
Stair gates, balcony railings, sharp corners, plug sockets, pool fencing. The stuff that keeps you up at night.
Kitchen Quality (out of 10)
Full-size fridge? Blender for baby food? Proper oven? Enough plates for a family? We check it all.
Laundry
Washing machine is essential. Dryer is a bonus. Outdoor drying space? Even better.
WiFi Speed
If you're working remotely (like Liam), you need reliable internet. We speed-test every property.
Beach & Playground Access
How far? Is the path buggy-friendly? Is the beach sandy or rocky? Is there shade?
Pharmacy & Healthcare
When your toddler gets a temperature at 2am, you need to know where the nearest pharmacy is.
Baby Equipment
Cot, highchair, baby bath, stair gate - what does the property provide so you can pack light?
Buggy-Friendly
Lifts or ground floor? Smooth pavements or cobblestones? Can you actually use a pushchair?

Properties with this badge are places we've actually stayed in as a family. We lived there, cooked there, did bath time there, pushed the buggy around the neighbourhood. These aren't press trips or sponsored stays - we paid for them ourselves and we're giving you our honest experience.
